My Story

GOING PLANT BASED

I used to think veganism was a crazy and extreme way of life. My journey to veganism started in a food market in Hong Kong in 2011.  I won’t go into details but what I saw and smelt I can still remember today.  I went vegetarian for a few days after that, but as soon as I got back to the UK and saw nice supermarket meat and pictures of happy cows, I reverted to old ways.  It got me questioning though…there you see bits of where your food comes from. Here it’s all done behind closed doors. 2 failed attempts of going vegetarian later and I cut out all meat and fish.  At that stage, veganism was still not on the cards because I hadn’t looked into the dairy industry…which it turns out is as bad.  Most people have one vice that stops them going Vegan – for me it was eggs. I wish when I was struggling to give up eggs, that I knew what I know now about the improvements I would experience. My diet is more varied and satisfying than ever before, I have more energy, and I no longer get colds.

BUILDING A GREAT BODY

I dreamt of having a great body for as long as I can remember. Before I was old enough to go to the gym, I would sneak upstairs every evening to do press-ups and sit-ups. I built my dream body by 18, and then completely lost it through a personal crisis where depression hit and I lost all interest in exercise. I got myself out of a rut and reset my fitness goals. I went on to dissect every aspect of what makes a successful regimen – training, nutrition, and (the usually overlooked) mindset and lifestyle. I realised that achieving a great body for life isn’t a destination, but a lifestyle. It’s about behaviours and habits that make the here and now enjoyable, and something that you can stick to long term.

Combining my fitness experience with my life-coaching experience, I put my knowledge and experience into a simple 5 step process to achieving and maintaining your ideal body. It’s now benefited over 14,000 students in 157 countries.

I’ve never felt better, had more energy, or been or more satisfied with my body than I am these days. It’s because I’ve built a strategy that works perfectly for me. By working with my clients to develop the equivalent for them, they achieve the same. And it feels amazing.
